For over 35 years, Cornelis has been a trusted expert in perimeter security. But they do more than just install fences: as security architects, they analyze risks, design tailored security solutions, and ensure flawless installation and maintenance. Under the leadership of Nele Cornelis and her partner Nils Van Hoeydonck, the family business has grown into a modern player in perimeter security. To translate their expertise and approach into a clear brand identity, they turned to Plant a Flag.

Challenge

In 2020, Nele Cornelis took over the company from her father, continuing its path of innovation and professionalization. Cornelis was named a finalist for SME of the Year 2023, and Nele herself was crowned ‘Most Outstanding Female Entrepreneur of Flemish Brabant’. But while the company was advancing, its brand story was falling behind: the logo was outdated, and the name ‘Cornelis Fencing’ placed too much emphasis on products rather than on their full-service security solutions. It was time for a strategic shift.

The focus shifted from products to complete security solutions that provide full peace of mind for their clients. This transformation included a subtle name change, a clear market positioning, and a strong online identity that radiates professionalism and trust.

Dynamic advertising boards at Union Saint-Gilloise’s stadium put their job openings in the spotlight for thousands of football fans. With an online brand guide and user-friendly social media templates, Cornelis can now maintain a consistent and professional communication strategy.
